Founder & Executive Director

Leila Haidar founded The Digital Liberty Institute to expand opportunities for high school students interested in law, technology, and public policy. Through educational resources, research initiatives, and student engagement, she aims to help young people develop the knowledge and skills to become thoughtful leaders in a rapidly changing digital world.

Beyond her work with The Digital Liberty Institute, Leila Haidar is a published author whose work reflects a longstanding interest in history, research, and public education. She wrote The City That Held Its Breath, a historical fiction novel that explores the complexities of the past through immersive storytelling. The novel is available through libraries and major booksellers, including Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Through both her writing and nonprofit leadership, Leila is committed to making complex ideas more accessible and inspiring students to engage thoughtfully with history, law, and the challenges of an increasingly digital world.
